About Me
My name is Erik Martinez, a San Francisco, California native, artist and creator of Plates 2 Planters. Something that has developed from my love for cars and the arts combined with curiosity and desire to recreate and bring to life an object that has no use after it has served its purpose, such as a license plate, and adding an object of nature, has resulted in the growth of this business and this idea.
My Mission
My mission is to spread admiration and appreciation for the arts by giving a simple object, such as a piece of metal, another look and another purpose.
My Vision
My vision began with creating a product that would give people a sense of home, a reminder of where they came from by creating planters from recycled license plates of different U.S. states.
